This simple plugin allows automatic refresh of images without browser page reload.
The plugin (v. 1.0.0) is available for Joomla! 1.5, Joomla! 2.5 and Joomla! 3.2.
The plugin adds a simple JS script dinamically and only if it is activated in the plugin administration and if it find the presence of the images for which the refresh was set.
This plugin is suitable for snapshot images captured by one or more webcams and in all cases when the name of the images to be refreshed don't change. For example, a webcam that every five minutes saves a new image on server, always with the "snapshot.jpg" filename.
The plugin supports up to three images on the same page.
In the backend there are only two options for each of the three images.
TAG IMG ID
It's the NAME attribute to add to the IMG tag of the image to refresh. For example:
<img src=''ipcamview.php'' name=''TAG_IMG_ID'' />
This must be different for each image and shouldn't be present in any of the other elements of the same html page. In other words, in the html code of the same page there can not be two name attributes with the same value.
With settings as figure 1, the img tags will be about as follows:
<img src=''ipcamview.php'' name=''webcamimagerefresh1'' />
<img src=''link-alla-immagine-2'' name=''webcamimagerefresh2'' />
<img src=''link-alla-immagine-3'' name=''webcamimagerefresh3'' />
It's the time in seconds before the automatic refresh of the image. It is recommended not to set a too short time and in any event, to set a time less of half the frequency of your webcam image upload.
